CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19!

Are you ready for BC’s first official Backyard Ultra?

On the Edge of Insanity has a 6.706km/4.167miles looped course with a start on the hour every hour until we have a last person standing or everyone is a DNF. Yes, that’s right! There are no runner up prizes; you don’t get anything for being second!

The first loop starts at 7am on July 17th. Each loop then starts precisely 1 hour after the last. If you don't finish within the hour, you are automatically DNF'ed. Except for restrooms, runners may not leave the course until each loop is completed. No non-competitors allowed on the course and no personal aid during a loop. No trekking poles allowed.

As per our other events we will be highlighting the amazing local food, beer and cider here on the coast with our start/finish area and beer garden area. You and your crew will be able to set up camp near the start/finish line.

Thanks to the District of Sechelt we have access to the Kinnikinnick playing fields and Kinnikinnick Park. Sechelt is a beautiful seaside town located halfway along the lower Sunshine Coast in BC Canada. The trails within the park are relatively wide, non technical trails and are beautiful and have virtually no elevation gain. The ease of this course will be welcomed once the light fades as we use the same course night and day.
Registration is now open for 2020!
